Scandal in Vienna: Player hit on the head by beer cups
Vienna (Austria) - It was supposed to be a memorable evening in Vienna-Hütteldorf, but in the end the Rapid Vienna fans caused a real scandal. In the second leg of the Conference League quarter-final , the supporters proved to be bad losers.

It was extra time when Tobias Gulliksen (21) scored the 4:1 for Djurgardens IF from Sweden. Shortly after his goal, beer cups suddenly flew from the stands towards the pitch while he and his team-mates were celebrating.
The projectiles hit the Norwegian on the back of the head. The contents had already spilled over his team-mates and hit another player.
After his second goal of the match, the sporting verdict was out. Rapid had won the first leg 1:0 in Sweden. But Mamadou Sangaré (22) thwarted their dreams of progressing early on when he was shown the red card in the seventh minute for a rough foul.
The hosts were outnumbered from then on and conceded a penalty for a handball shortly before the break. The penalty was awarded by English referee Anthony Taylor (46), of all people, who did not award the handball penalty awarded by Marc Cucurella (26) in the European Championship quarter-final between Germany and Spain.
When Tobias Gulliksen makes it 4:1, the Rapid fans' frustration knows no bounds

Marcus Danielson (36) converted the penalty to make it 1:0 for the visitors. However, an own goal from Jacob Une Larsson (31) revived Rapid's hopes. The teams went into the break tied.
The Austrians fought valiantly in the second half with just ten men, but it was Keita Kosugi (19) who sent Djurgardens into extra time with a dream goal in the 77th minute to make it 2-1.
Gulliksen then struck twice, and the frustration among Rapid and its fans was great. However, there was no reason to throw beer cups at the opposing players.
The double goal scorer, but also Viktor Bergh (25), who briefly went down, were hit by the cups.
In addition to the elimination, this will also have unpleasant repercussions for Rapid.
