Fan brawl before Champions League clash! Groups beat each other up in the city center
Belgrade (Serbia) - Around two months ago, Stuttgart supporters made the unpleasant acquaintance of Red Star fans at their team's Champions League away match in Belgrade. Now it was also the turn of guests from the Netherlands , whose club PSV Eindhoven have to assert themselves in the Serbian capital this Tuesday evening (9pm).

Hours before kick-off at the Rajko Mitić stadium, which holds around 55,000 spectators ( ), it became known that fan groups from both clubs had engaged in a massive brawl in the center of the metropolis the day before.
According to consistent sources, members of the Serbian record champions' active fan scene called Delije (heroes) were involved in the riots.
They intercepted a large group of Dutch supporters on a main street and then suddenly attacked them.
Footage circulating on the social media platform X is said to show the alleged altercation: Masked people attack each other, engage in a brawl - and flares are also used.

Police investigate ten people after riots in Belgrade
According to Telegraf.rs, the identity of several people was established by the police who rushed to the scene. Ten suspected perpetrators are now under investigation, the national news platform reported, citing the Ministry of the Interior. According to the report, nine of those arrested are aged between 19 and 26 and one is a minor.
Law enforcement officers had seized telescopic batons from two of them during a check. As far as is known, no one was injured and investigations are ongoing.
At the end of November last year, supporters of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart were attacked and injured by violent Red Star fans. The Swabian Ultras had boycotted the match in the Balkan state due to naked checks and controversial checks at the border.
