Three-year-old wanders around the room after bedtime - when she is caught, she acts immediately

Indiana (USA) - Sneaking up after bedtime to play - let's be honest, who didn't do that back in the day? But did we all react as funny as this girl when we were caught?

In a short video that Kaylea Southwick has since shared on her TikTok account , you can see a recording from her baby camera, which she uses to keep an eye on her three-year-old daughter.

It shows the little girl walking around the room way past her bedtime. Kaylea can only shake her head at this. She calls a quick "Off to bed" to the toddler via the baby monitor. And the three-year-old reacts immediately.

She gasps for air, turns in circles in panic and then runs as fast as she can to her bed - only to throw herself theatrically into the mattress. She then pretends to be asleep.

Her mother couldn't help herself and shared the curious video on TikTok with the words: "Little miss catapulted back into bed!"

The clip went viral online within a few days. It has now been viewed more than 7.8 million times, with users reacting enthusiastically.

"Her little feet didn't touch the ground for a second," joked one user, to which Kaylea replied: "She flew!"

The amused mother explained to the news portal Newsweek that she had just taken the girl's little brother out of bed to feed him.

His sister had then gone to check on him. When she realized that she was alone in the room, she probably took this as a sign to play quietly and secretly.

"It shows that she knows exactly what she's doing - that's why she runs back to bed so quickly when she gets caught," says Kaylea with a smile. "She's still a curious toddler."
