To bring a little smile to her parents Debbie and Rick's face on their wedding day, the fashion designer let her creativity run wild.

During a visit to her old home, a family photo from the 80s caught her eye. "The original photo was taken 34 years ago and shows my siblings and me - aged five, nine, 14 and 16, in full 80s fashion," Tawnya explains in a TikTok video .

Together with her siblings Jason, Joreen and Kimberley, the American decided to recreate the photo in a funny way.

The quartet dressed up in self-made 80s outfits and had themselves photographed like this once again. The siblings then framed the hilarious snapshot and gave it to their parents as a gift.

Of course, Tawnya captured the moment when mom Debbie and dad Rick curiously unwrapped the photo.

While Debbie immediately burst out laughing, Rick initially made an incredulous face. Later, he was also delighted with the unusual gift. At the end of the clip, you can see the recreated picture of the adult siblings.

"We added clip-on hair pieces as well as oversized bows and even blacked out a tooth to emphasize our youngest sister's iconic gap in her teeth," Tawnya tells Newsweek. "When our mom saw us, she was so surprised she laughed out loud. Our dad was a bit shocked."

The video has since gone viral and has been viewed more than 941,000 times. "Simply brilliant, the best thing I've ever seen," wrote one fascinated user.
