Influencer dies of incurable disease at the age of 21
New Zealand - Influencer Dominique McShain has died of incurable bowel cancer at the age of 21 - around a year after her shocking diagnosis.

"People" had the young woman's death confirmed, it was reported. On April 7, 2025, the New Zealander posted a poignant message on Instagram stating that she only had a few days to weeks to live.
Her liver was "rapidly failing to the point of jaundice", it said. "My life may be short, but I truly believe I've gotten everything out of it. I've won the lottery, with a family that loves me unconditionally, friends who would 10000% donate a liver to me or do whatever they can (and probably argue about who gets to do it)," McShain wrote in one of her recent posts.
"Even though it will hurt to leave you all behind, I want you to know that I will finally be out of pain and at peace."

In April 2024, she told over 200,000 followers about her condition on TikTok and Instagram. Since then, she wanted to educate people online about the symptoms of the disease and raise awareness, especially among younger people.
The deceased influencer is survived by her husband, to whom she said "I do" in July 2024.
