Horrific incident at anglers' meeting place: Jaguar tears janitor to pieces
Aquidauana (Brazil) - Simply terrible. A remote village in Brazil was struck by a terrible tragedy. A jaguar tore the popular janitor Jorge (†62) to pieces. Attention, disturbing details.

Tourists like to come to the "Bar de Touro Morto", enjoy the view of the Aquidauana River and many start their motorboat tours from here to the nearby fishing spots in the Pantenal wetlands.
But on Easter Monday, a terrible tragedy occurred at the camp, reports the local news portal"O Pantaneiro". The camp's long-time janitor and passionate angler, Jorge (62), who everyone called Jorghino, fell victim to a jaguar.
Witnesses describe how Jorghino was still sitting in front of his hut at around 5 a.m., wishing the guests a good morning and peacefully making coffee.
But the jaguar was probably already lurking in the undergrowth.

Great sadness for the friendly janitor
The big cat presumably crept up behind him, grabbed poor Jorghino and tore his neck apart. The predator then dragged the 62-year-old to the riverbank, where it apparently mauled him.
Nothing was left of Jorghino - a huge pool of blood on the jetty and jaguar tracks in the sand indicate the gruesome tragedy. The janitor's personal belongings were later found around the camp: cell phone, wallet, clothes. But the big cat escaped along with its human prey.
Following the incident, there is great consternation in the close-knit fishing community on the Aquidauana River. "Jorginho was a person who was greatly appreciated by everyone, I knew him very well and I am a friend of his family. He has left his legacy, may God let you rest in a good place, Jorginho," said his good friend Fabio on Facebook.
Military police teams combed the area, using helicopters to search for Jorghino's human remains. However, the water level is expected to rise considerably over the next few days. His remains will probably never be found.
