TMZ reports that her death was a suicide.

After her family members had not heard from her for some time, they decided to visit her yesterday, Wednesday.

When they arrived, they found the 61-year-old, who worked as an actress herself, unconscious and immediately called the emergency services. She was pronounced dead at the scene after self-inflicting a gunshot wound to the head.

"Our family is deeply saddened by the recent death of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the love and support during this difficult time, but politely ask for privacy as we grieve and get through this difficult time," David told the celebrity portal.

The actor and Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff were married from 1989 to 2006. She leaves behind two children.

TAG24 does not normally report on suicides. However, as the incident involved a public figure, the editorial team decided to make it a topic of discussion.
