Los Angeles (USA) - Great sadness in the YouTube community : Philip Enewally, better known by his channel name "P2istheName", has died unexpectedly at the age of just 26. As was announced at the weekend, he was found dead in a post office in Los Angeles on Friday.

Enewally began his YouTube career in May 2011 , building up a loyal following through gaming, prank and lifestyle videos. He uploaded almost a thousand videos to his channel "P2istheName" and had around 3.86 million subscribers.

But now the shock for his fans! As the celebrity portal TMZ reported on Saturday (local time), citing the Los Angeles County coroner's office, the 26-year-old was found lifeless on Friday.

The circumstances are still completely unclear, with the police and coroner's office not releasing any details. The investigation is ongoing.

Enewally's YouTube colleague and buddy "ColeTheMan" confirmed on X on Saturday afternoon: "My good friend P2istheName has died ... wow. I honestly have no words. He was always so nice to me and gave me so many tips on content creation."

A family member of the deceased also confirmed his death to TMZ, but also did not give any details. Instead, the person asked that the family's privacy be respected. Fans were asked to express their grief on the "P2istheName" channel.

Enewally's followers then complied with this request. Under his last YouTube video, which he uploaded around two weeks ago, countless users expressed their sympathy and grief.

"I can't believe brother, we only spoke on the phone on Thursday," commented another YouTuber. Another comment with almost 3,000 likes read: "Man, I just want to say thank you for the laughter in my childhood [...]. Rest in peace. He's gone but will never be forgotten."

Philip Enewally gained popularity at the beginning of his career mainly through his Fortnite and basketball gaming videos. He now even has his own fashion brand. In one of his last videos, he also talked about wanting to move from Los Angeles to Atlanta.
