Elton John can hardly see anything anymore: "It's upsetting"

London - British music star Elton John (78) talks about how much he can still see at the moment and what helps him to deal with his visual impairment.

Pop star Elton John talks about the extent of his eye problems. "I can see you, but I can't watch TV, I can't read," the British musician told aTimes reporter.

"I can't see my boys play rugby and soccer."

The musician ("Rocket Man", "I'm Still Standing") had made it public that he has had problems seeing since suffering an eye infection. "It's been a very stressful time because I was used to soaking it all up," John said, according to the newspaper. "It's upsetting."

"You get emotional, but you have to get used to it," John said. He is glad for the life he has, he added.

"I still have my wonderful family and I can still see something here," John said, pointing to his left eye, according to the newspaper. "So you say to yourself: keep going."

The music star , who has two sons with his husband David Furnish (62), has just returned with a new album. "Who Believes In Angels?" is a duet album with US singer Brandi Carlile (43).
