The man named Ezequiel David Pereyra (21) was not only the singer's dealer, but was also employed at the hotel. After charges were brought against him, he went into hiding, according to the Daily Mail.

To date, the Argentinian police had failed to track him down, as the Argentinian newspaper La Nacion reports. Now the accused is negotiating his surrender together with his lawyer.

On Friday, January 3, officers searched the 21-year-old's house with an arrest warrant. After he could not be found there, the police monitored various places where Pereyra usually stayed.

A source told La Nacion that the accused buckled under the pressure of the search and has now surrendered to the court with the support of his lawyer.

Five defendants in the death of Liam Payne

According to court documents seen by La Nacion, Pereyra is accused of supplying cocaine to Liam Payne on both October 15 and October 16.

This makes Pereyra one of five defendants who have to justify themselves in court in connection with Liam Payne's death.
