In her book "Say Everything", which will be published on Tuesday, 54-year-old Ione Skye recounts her experience with the band's frontman.

Page Six picked up on this and writes that the actress was just 16 years old when she and the rock star started dating.

According to the article, it didn't take long before the "Twilight Zone" actress became pregnant by the then 24-year-old.

It quickly became clear to both of them that they did not want to have the child - partly because of their young age and partly because of the artist's severe heroin addiction.

"I was the type of girl who had wanted to have a child since she was little, who dreamed of finding a baby wrapped in cloths on my doorstep (...) But fantasizing about it was different from the reality. I couldn't imagine having a baby at that time," says the 54-year-old.

So the "Californication" singer decided to pay for the abortion.

However, according to the actress, he did not accompany her to the appointment - out of guilt.

Today, Skye says she has no regrets about the abortion.

"I took care of myself, made a decision that felt good and important for my future (...) I couldn't have had a baby at 17 with someone who didn't want to be a father, didn't want to commit to me and struggled with anger issues. Not to mention the heroin," the actress recalled.

Kiedis has not yet commented.
