Bruises all over her body! What happened to this Hollywood star?

London (England) - Actress Kate Beckinsale (51) has put the British daily newspaper "The Guardian" in its place. The reason for this was the reporting on her new film "Canary Black".

In the action thriller, the 51-year-old plays a CIA agent blackmailed by kidnappers.

The Guardian accused Beckinsale in an article that stunt doubles had probably done the "brunt of the work" for her in blurry hand-to-hand combat scenes.

"Apart from the odd made-up bruise or scratch, Beckinsale looks unrealistically chic throughout," reads the movie review.

The Brit didn't take this lying down, tagged the text and posted it on her Instagram channel - immediately followed by photos showing real bruises and abrasions on her hands, arms and legs.

Real stunt double jumps to Kate Beckinsale's side

The 51-year-old was supported by her German stunt double Laura Vörtler, who, according to her sedcard, has already been hired for tricky scenes in films such as "3 Angels for Charlie" and "Mission Impossible".

"I was seriously impressed by Kate's physical abilities, her stamina and performance and, above all, her attitude! She never complained and showed all the men out there who's boss," Vörtler wrote on Instagram .
