And she will indeed be traveling into space this spring!

As part of the first all-female crew since 1963, the "E.T." singer will take off in a rocket from Blue Origin, the space company of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (61).

As The Sun reports, former US newsreader and partner of Bezos Lauren Sanchez (55) will also be part of this mission.

The two are just two of the six women announced on Thursday as the crew for the upcoming Blue Origin flight. An exact date has not yet been announced.

"CBS Morning" host Gayle King (70) will also be on board. On her show, she confirmed her participation and described the feeling as "terrifying and exciting".

"I don't know how to explain being scared and excited at the same time (...) I thought I wanted to open myself up to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone," King said.
