Woman is surprised by the packaging: when she sees the chocolate inside, she feels sick
Bedford (England) - You can lose your appetite that quickly: Evie, who lives in Bedford, England, wanted to bake a chocolate cheesecake. But when it came to decorating her treat, the amateur baker felt sick at the sight of Cadbury chocolate.

At the end of January, the Englishwoman posted a photo on Reddit that says it all. The picture clearly shows that there was a moth stuck to the cake. After that, no one wanted to decorate the cake.
Evie should have been suspicious even sooner. "When we opened the chocolate bar, we noticed that the edges of the wrapper were wet and sticky, but we didn't think anything of it," she explained in an interview with Newsweek this week.
But the real scare came a moment later: "It was only when we went to break the bar that we turned it over and saw the moth inside."
A spokesperson for Cadbury's parent company, Mondelēz International, has now commented on the curious incident.
Manufacturer is tame

He told the US magazine: "The safety and quality of our products is of paramount importance to us and we carry out numerous quality checks throughout the manufacturing process before our products reach the consumer."
Evie countered that she immediately complained to the manufacturer online after the discovery, but never received a response.
The company was much more forthcoming with Newsweek: "We pride ourselves on our customer service and regret that the customer did not receive a response to her initial inquiry."
Evie should get in touch again using a specific customer number. Whether the British woman will actually do this is questionable, however.
According to her description, the packaging was leaking. Whether this happened before or after the purchase is unlikely to be verifiable.
