Cornwall (England) - Live and let live: Ellinor Smith from Cornwall, England, acted on this motto when she recently discovered a large spider in her room. But the young woman was soon to regret her relaxed approach to the creepy-crawly!

A few days ago, Smith presented her dilemma in a curious TikTok video, which now has more than 300,000 clicks. It shows lots of little black dots on the walls and ceiling of her room: Baby spiders!

"I would say there were between 100 and 150," the Englishwoman explained in an interview with Newsweek. Although this high estimate is missing from her clip, it has since taught many users to be afraid.

If you're afraid of spiders, you've definitely come to the wrong place. In the comments section, some admit that they couldn't possibly sleep in this environment.

Fortunately for her, Smith takes a much more relaxed view of things. In an interview with the US magazine, she revealed how she deals with the problem.

Because the young woman has an aversion to killing other living creatures, she chose the hard way. Smith tried to catch as many spiders as possible and release them in the garden.

"I removed most of the baby spiders and the father and put them back outside alive because the amount of webs they were building was getting a bit out of control," she said.

However, the mother spider continues to cause her big problems: "Mom spider and some of her babies are still here (...) because mom is too fast to catch them."

Despite some horrified comments next to her viral video, Smith hopes to change people's minds: "Hopefully they'll find it a bit funny and it will make them giggle, but hopefully it will also make people realize that spiders aren't scary and that they don't have to kill them."
