Woman declares war on kilos: A year later, she can hardly believe her own eyes

New York City (USA) - From 106 to 63 kilograms in just one year: that's exactly what Sarah (24) from New York City has managed to do. When she looks in the mirror today, the young woman can hardly believe her own eyes. But it's not just Sarah who is impressed by her transformation - millions of people on TikTok are too . The New Yorker has already landed several viral hits there with her before and after comparisons.

Last year, the 24-year-old reached a point where she couldn't take it anymore. After a stroke of fate during the coronavirus pandemic, Sarah had literally bottled up her grief.

Now she couldn't walk for 20 minutes at a time without getting severe back pain.

"That's when I realized it was time to take action and change the one thing that was completely within my control," the US American explained in an interview with Newsweek this week.

Sarah wanted to reach her dream weight within a year if possible. And she achieved it. But with which diet?

"I started by simply eating less and setting myself an eating limit, which I initially set at 7pm. When I saw how well that worked, I started intermittent fasting, usually stopping at 6pm and starting to eat again around 11am, depending on my schedule," the now 63-pound woman told US Magazine.

She also used a psychological trick. Instead of rewarding herself with food as before, Sarah now treated herself to other things, such as a new lip gloss.

Incidentally, the TikToker doesn't want to know anything about weight loss injections: "I want to be someone who proves that you can lose weight naturally."

TikTok users are all the more impressed, having recently given one of Sarah's clips more than a million clicks.

Meanwhile, Sarah's conclusion couldn't be clearer: "I feel great - like a completely different person!"
