Florida (USA) - It is well known that most dangers lurk in the home. A young woman from the USA had to learn this painfully. Her little "accident" is hard to beat in terms of curiosity .

Madison Martin was on her way to the bathroom when it happened: the 24-year-old heard a crunch, felt a pain in her right foot and then felt queasy.

As the US-American told People in an interview, she had stepped on a pair of jeans that were still lying around on the floor from the previous evening.

Madison sat down, examined her foot and felt a kind of hole on the underside. Then she dared to take a look at the mishap and saw a key stuck deep in the flesh. "I immediately panicked, sweated, felt dizzy and almost fainted," she said.

The 24-year-old then dialed the number of her boyfriend Cody to "rescue" her loved one. Madison lay on the floor until he arrived. She no longer touched her foot. Fear spread. The young woman feared that she might bleed to death in the worst case scenario.

After Cody arrived at the scene of the accident, he grabbed his girlfriend, carried her to the car and chauffeured her to the emergency room. The medics were stunned.

"Everyone was in shock. Everyone in the A&E department came to see this crazy accident," said the 24-year-old. In the end, the doctors remembered their job and took the key out of the American's foot.

Meanwhile, Cody filmed the scenes and Madison posted them on TikTok days later. To date, around eleven million people have watched the clip. "My friends called me and said that I had gone viral. I just couldn't believe it," said the young woman.

But one detail about this case is even more incredible! To this day, Madison still doesn't know who the key belongs to. The night before her accident, she had wanted to use it to open her letterbox, but the key didn't fit into the lock. The next day, it was stuck in her foot.
