New York (USA) - You want to film your giggling children in a sweet moment - and then this! Katie Ingalls was just following the voices of her baby daughter Guinevere and son Noah (4) when she tried to secretly record them around the corner. Shortly afterwards, the mother of two from New York was horrified.

In the video, which has now reached an audience of millions on Instagram , users see the moment of shock. The mother holds her camera up to a door frame, from which her son Noah suddenly casts a shadow.

Then everything becomes clear: the four-year-old has placed his sister on the floor and is simply dragging her with him. Fortunately, nothing seems to be wrong with the baby. The mother's horror is therefore short-lived.

Nevertheless, she now admitted in an interview with Newsweek: "I gasped for air and then saw that no one was crying or hurt."

This quickly turned the tide: "I had to laugh because it was silly and sweet that he wanted to help like that." Ingalls had just given her daughter a bath. So Noah just wanted to bring the little one to her as a good helper.

But why wasn'ther son carrying the baby ?

Because Noah is only four years old, his mother has taught him that he is not allowed to lift or carry Guinevere on his own. "So he decided to pull her," the New Yorker told the US magazine.

She spoke to her son after the incident and told him never to do that again. He has stuck to this ever since, Ingalls said.

The curious video has now been out for a few weeks. Not everyone was able to laugh about it as much as the mother. Some were worried about the children.

But Ingalls can reassure them: "He is so gentle, playful and helpful, and she loves him too. She always smiles and laughs with him. He's so good at calming her down. I'm so glad they have each other and can't wait to see their relationship continue to grow."
