Italian food blogger Federica Rossi made a cheesecake during her trip - in the middle of an airplane!

As the New York Post reported, Rossi used the cabin as an improvised kitchen and whipped up her dessert in less than 15 minutes.

A video showed how she first unpacked a small baking tin and covered the base with cake crumbles.

She then added butter and honey before spreading a layer of cream cheese on top. To finish, she added a spoonful of strawberry jam - and her masterpiece was complete.

However, the campaign was met with fierce criticism. Many users found it unnecessary and disrespectful.

Comments such as: "Well, that's the stupidest nonsense I've seen today" or "Can't you stop being so obnoxious just to get a few likes? The flight attendants must have been annoyed by this nonsense" were evidence of the outrage.

Rossi, however, defended herself. She explained that she had not disturbed anyone during the preparation:
"I cleaned thoroughly before and after. The whole operation took 15 minutes in complete silence. I didn't leave a single crumb behind and ate the cake with my two friends sitting next to me."

How she managed to get all the ingredients for the cake onto the plane, however, remained her secret.
