The wrong personalized mug is delivered to a woman: Nobody expected what happens two years later

Beverly (USA) - Lorraine Deacy from Massachusetts has been drinking from the same cup every day for two years. In several photos, the couple can be seen beaming in love at the camera. It gets curious when you find out that the US American doesn't know the two men at all. But she hadn't reckoned with the power of the internet ...

Whatever went wrong back then, Lorraine suddenly received the mug with the two strangers on it in the post two years ago. "I received the mug in an order from an Etsy store," she recalls.

In addition to a mug that she had designed herself, there was also a mug with a couple called Scott and Nate in the box.

According to Newsweek, the US-American immediately received her missing second mug when she contacted the seller and was told to keep the one she had been sent by mistake.

But instead of ending up in the trash, the item became one of Lorraine's favorite pieces.

"They looked like the cutest couple and I've been drinking coffee out of them every morning for 2 years," she admits. In addition to lots of pictures and hearts, the jar also reads: "The best is yet to come - Scott and Nate - 2022".

Two years later, Lorraine wanted to share the funny story on TikTok - and was surprised.

Just a few hours after the video was published, the internet proved that it can also have a good side: Users found the rightful owners of the mug in no time at all . In fact, Scott and Nate are still a couple and couldn't be happier together.

The gay couple are happy about the surprising connection and that they got their mug after all. "My sister sent us these mugs for Christmas two years ago and they never arrived," explains Scott aka Scotty Sherman. "Now we know why! Glad you kept them!"

For Lorraine, it almost feels like she's found her "long lost best friends". "I'm speechless," says the cup owner. And happily reveals: "They've invited me to their wedding next year."
