Mother immediately flees the pool with her children when she sees what is still swimming in it
Proserpine (Australia) - The good news first: this risk should be close to zero in Germany. However, on the other side of the world, in Australia , it recently caused panic. Right in the middle of it: Lucy Kilgannon and her two children.

The mother was at the Proserpine Swimming Pool & Water Park with the two of them on Wednesday when she and the other guests fled the pool.
The reason: an approximately 1.5 meter long, highly venomous eastern brown snake had made itself comfortable in the water, where it immediately swam a lane.
In an interview with the Courier Mail , the Australian reported that two men armed with swimming noodles had helped to protect the guests from the snake.
But the animal had other plans anyway, which it soon put into action.

The swimming was soon over. The venomous snake made its way through a wire mesh fence onto a neighboring campsite.
In an interview with Yahoo News Australia, a swimming pool employee reported: "Then the park manager cornered it and hid behind some bags of dirt. So we just waited and watched to see if it came out - but it didn't." Then the snake catcher came to the rescue.
"That was a good thing. We knew exactly where it was and were able to protect the residents of the campsite and the swimming pool," explained the swimming pool employee.
The animal guest was eventually caught and released back into the wild. However, the swimming pool was still completely empty - even a day later.
However, this probably didn't have much to do with fear of snakes - Australians are used to that. Instead, it was probably the onset of the cold snap. After all, winter will soon be upon us Down Under.
