Thailand - What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation suddenly turned into a nightmare for Brit Kane Smith. The young tourist wanted to enjoy a quiet time in the pool of his luxury hotel in Thailand - but then he was besieged by a gang of monkeys.

A video that Smith recently shared on TikTok showed the curious scene: while he was peacefully splashing around in the pool, several macaques suddenly emerged from the nearby forest. They seem very curious and move closer and closer to the baffled vacationer.

More and more of the animals arrive - including a rather large one and a mother monkey with a baby - and the situation threatens to escalate. Frightened, Smith tries to keep his distance. "Oh my God! No, go away!" he can be heard shouting.

When he finally realizes that the monkeys won't leave him alone, he has only one option: he has to leave as quickly as possible!

But as soon as he sets off, the animals chase after him. Only when he makes a loud and aggressive sound do his pursuers finally stop.

He finally jumps out of the water. As Smith later reported, he was fortunately able to save himself in an open room. In another video, he gave the all-clear: "I survived the monkeys!" said Smith.
