Man saves up ten years for dream car: one hour after delivery, the unbelievable happens
Minato (Japan) - The dream of a luxury car didn't just burst for a man (33) from Japan, it went up in flames! Shortly after the delivery of the Ferrari, for which the owner had paid the equivalent of several hundred thousand euros, the unbelievable happened ...

Music producer Honkon had been waiting a whole ten years for this moment when he would finally hold the keys to his very own Ferrari 458 Spider in his hands. The 33-year-old had put money aside for a decade to finally save up the 43 million yen (equivalent to around 266,200 euros) needed for the luxury car.
In mid-April, he was finally able to pick up the Ferrari from the dealership in Minato and then drove onto the highway. Just an hour after delivery, Honkon suddenly noticed white smoke coming from the car.
The Japanese driver stopped immediately and got out, which probably saved his life. Because just a few moments later , the entire car was on fire . "I was terrified that it was going to explode," the 33-year-old recalls to The Sun.
Emergency services rushed to the highway and were able to extinguish the fire after around 20 minutes. The fire had almost completely destroyed the Ferrari.

Dream of car burns to ashes

It is not yet known why the car started to burn. Honkon had not noticed anything unusual or caused an accident before the accident . The police are now investigating the strange fire.
It is also unclear whether the vehicle was insured.
The music producer shared pictures of his burning Ferrari on "X" (formerly Twitter) and wrote: "My Ferrari burned to ashes an hour after delivery. I bet I'm the only person in the whole of Japan to have experienced something like that."
He adds that it had always been his dream to own such an Italian sports car.
Now all he has left is a small part of the front bumper, which was spared by the flames.
