Identical twins marry twin brothers and have babies: the children's DNA comes as a surprise

Virginia (USA) - Don't worry, you're not seeing double! But with this family from Virginia , you still have to look twice. As if it wasn't special enough that Brittany and Briana Deane (39) are identical twins, the blondes also fell in love with Josh and Jeremy Salyers (41), who were also born as identical twins. After a joint wedding, it wasn't long before the two couples were expecting a baby - at the same time, of course. And now it probably comes as no surprise to anyone that the babies were both boys. However, the children (3) are not just cousins ...

Jax and Jett are not only two adorable cousins, but have such similar DNA that they are considered genetic brothers, according to ABC News . The three-year-olds have their crazy parental constellation to thank for this.

In fact, Jax and Jett are growing up like siblings, as their families decided to move into a house together after their double wedding.

While Brittany and Briana as well as Josh and Jeremy are hard to tell apart on the outside, the two boys look really similar in the face, but (fortunately) have different hair colors.

Even if the US-Americans' family situation may sound rather bizarre to outsiders, the six of them are living their dream, according to their own statements.

Sons of twins are not just cousins

In 2018, the blondes married brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers (41) after receiving a marriage proposal at the same time.

Even the story of how the two couples met is special : the four met for the first time in 2017 at a festival for twins, where they knew after just 15 minutes that they were meant to be together. A year later, a double proposal followed and shortly afterwards the wedding bells rang at a joint wedding ceremony.

Their happiness was made perfect when they became pregnant almost simultaneously after moving in together and Jax and Jett were born in 2022. "They're technically called quaternary twins ," says Briana. "Because they are genetic brothers and were born less than nine or ten months apart. They are genetic brothers and the same age."

The children would now refer to themselves as brothers and explain to other people that they have two mothers and two fathers. Although it may seem obvious to some, neither the Deane sisters nor their husbands are interested in swapping spouses or having a polygamous relationship.

"We are simply raising the children under one roof," says the US American. "We share the finances and so on, but we don't share a spouse."
