Grandpa and grandson's Twister game ends with an emergency call - but not for the expected reason
Virginia (USA) - All you want to do is play Twister with your grandson - and then suddenly you have to tell the emergency services that you're fine. That's exactly what happened to Ken Whitaker (66) from Virginia recently. What was going on?

The sporty grandfather, who is still active as a tennis coach, didn't want to miss out on the Twister fun at a family celebration. While Whitaker and his grandson had a lot of fun, his son John captured the scene.
In the video, which has since become a viral hit on TikTok , the senior falls down while playing, but suffers no injury. On the contrary: he is having a great time.
As it turned out shortly afterwards, the 66-year-old's Apple Watch saw things a little differently. Because the device had noticed the man's fall, it made an emergency call.
A little later, Whitaker was surprised to suddenly hear a strange voice, which he was unable to locate.
Viral TikTok video shows curious incident

"He was so confused, but we 'kids' quickly understood what was going on and told him to get his phone," John said in an interview with Newsweek this week.
His father then grabbed his cell phone and called 911 to give the all-clear. In the clip, the American can be seen calmly getting through the call.
The curious video was well received by the public. In addition to 1.2 million clicks since February 5, 165,000 likes have also been collected in the meantime.
The question remains: will Ken Whitaker switch off the function on his Apple Watch in future? According to John, this is absolutely not an option for his father. "It's better to call 911[the American emergency number, editor's note] when you don't need it than not being able to call it when you really need it," says John.
"It's also helpful in car accidents, as many people are unable to reach for their watch or phone in the event of an accident," he added.
He's right: safety first, after all.
