USA - It's hard to believe your eyes: Suddenly, more and more things in your house are changing color. Even the cats, which are actually snow-white, suddenly take on a green tint!

On the social media platform Reddit, a user under the name "mioraa" posted a few pictures from her home in the "Cleaning Tips" category.

The photos show a wall, a bed sheet, a sweater or even the two house cats . They all have one thing in common: they shimmer in a light shade of green. However, Mioraa cannot explain where this color comes from.

That's why she turned to the users of the online forum: "At first I thought it might be the detergent pods I use because they are also green. But after I tested them, I didn't see any discoloration. So it can't be that. Does anyone know what it is?"

Dozens of users tried to help the woman and she received various suggestions as to where the mysterious color could be coming from. mioraa tested almost every suggestion, but nothing changed. Until one user finally pointed out to her that jeans can rub off.

The only strange thing is that neither mioraa nor her husband own any of these pants.

At first, mioraa didn't think anything of it, but she couldn't shake one thought: could it be that her husband was cheating on her? After all, he had been behaving strangely recently, having to work"spontaneous overtime" more and more often.

She also noticed that the green stains were only to be found in the couple's bed and on the sofa, but not in the bed in the guest room.

She continued: "I know that this is reprehensible and should not be done. But when he wasn't in the room, I looked through his Instagram messages and actually found a sex chat between him and a woman wearing jeans in some of the pictures."

Mioraa then left her husband and has been living with her parents ever since. The woman has taken her two cats with her. They are no longer greener, but they still have a certain "basic green".
