Last Saturday, a young Swiss man (19) set himself the goal of searching for the vampire Count Dracula near Transylvania.

As reported by the Romanian television station Stirile Pro TV, the Swiss man stole a parked car in the Romanian town of Făgăraș. The owner informed the police immediately after the theft.

When they arrived, the teenager fled with the vehicle.

A witness reported that the young man "sped past us at 160 to 180 km/h".

During his journey, the Swiss man rammed into several cars, injuring three people.

Even after the accidents, the 19-year-old tried to flee on foot, but was arrested by the police.

A drug test revealed that the teenager was apparently under the influence of narcotics. On camera, he said: "I wanted to go to the Hoia-Baciu forest to visit my great-great-grandfather, Count Dracula. I hope he can turn me into a vampire. I've dreamed about it all my life and now I'm here."

Since the incident, the Swiss man has been in hospital. Meanwhile, investigations into theft and several traffic offenses are ongoing.
