After negative review: Ramen restaurant puts bounty on customer's head

Kyoto (Japan) - Whether on Google , TripAdvisor or other platforms. Every restaurant gets a review at some point. But one ramen restaurant in Japan didn't like a customer's negative review at all. The logical conclusion? Of course! Put out a bounty.

Jiro-style ramen is characterized above all by the fact that it is served with lots of bean sprouts, cabbage and pork. The portions are also significantly larger compared to "normal" ramen.

According to a report in the American newspaper"Dexerto", the bounty restaurant is said to be the "TOYOJIRO" in Kyoto. It is located in a small side street, far from the tourist areas, and is one of the best-rated stores for Jiro-style ramen in the region - or at least it was.

One day, two men turned up in the store, who, like all other customers, ordered something to eat, paid and left. But unlike many other customers, the two left a negative Google review with just one star, criticizing the food.

This apparently infuriated the store owner. He posted a picture of the alleged "culprits" on Instagram and wrote below it: "I saw your review and you guys seem pretty funny. We try not to have people like you as customers in our store, but that's okay. Someday something bad will happen to you. I don't care - you can come to me now and I'll take care of you."

The store owner also offered a "bounty" of 100,000 yen (the equivalent of around 638 euros) to anyone who could identify the two "culprits".

Restaurant operator has since deleted Instagram posts again

The only compensation: another visit

The store owner went on to write in a statement: "The only thing they can do to make it up to me is to come by, eat again and then leave a good review along with a photo. I've already said I won't forgive them otherwise and then I can't guarantee anything, not even the safety of their families."

The owner has since deleted both the Google review and the threatening post on Instagram himself.
