Woman wonders about a conspicuous egg: when she peels it, she is horrified
Moncks Corner (South Carolina) - For many people, a situation like this is probably a nightmare come true: You just want to prepare an egg for breakfast - and then find a chick inside. Kailey Bugarin from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, recently had a similar, but not quite as unexpected, experience.

Bugarin is not an amateur. She has 22 chickens of her own. Some of the animals serve her as laying hens, others for breakfast eggs, some of which she also sells.
As the US-American admitted in an interview with Newsweek , a mishap happened to her last month. Some hatching eggs had fallen out of the nesting box onto the barn floor.
Bugarin was so confused that she mistook one of the fertilized eggs for one of the breakfast eggs. But she quickly had a suspicion.
"I held a dry paper towel to one of the eggs and part of the shell peeled off," the chicken farmer told the US magazine. "Instead of yolk, I only saw egg white, like a boiled egg," she added.
Somewhat helplessly, she then continued to peel the egg in front of the camera - assuming she would find a dead chick inside. But here, too, she was wrong.
Viral Instagram video shows the unusual story

The poor animal , whose egg was already cold, was still alive. "Fortunately, it was the day it was due to hatch, so the chick was fully developed and was not injured when it was taken out," Bugarin explained to the news magazine.
One of her hens was willing to take the male chick in. Six weeks have passed since then. "He's just as full of life as the other babies, and I can't wait to see him grow up to protect the rest of the flock," Bugarin said.
Because she had filmed the moment she pecked the eye-catching egg, the chicken lover decided to share the clip with a suitably happy ending on Instagram. The video has since received more than four million clicks.
However, not all users agree with Bugarin's approach: "In my comments, people complain about how I collect eggs, what I feed them and what kind of nesting pads I use." She also faces accusations of cruelty to animals.
So at the end of the story there is a bitter aftertaste, even if in this case the outcome was mild.
