Woman wants to help a trembling dog: What he does as she approaches melts her heart

Odessa (Ukraine) - The "Love Furry Friends" from the Ukrainian city of Odessa are back with a touching dog story. Animal rights activist Olena responded to a call for help from a woman who was worried about a stray dog.

In the YouTube video, which went online a few days ago, Olena and the woman make contact with the female with the shiny black fur. The poor animal lies shivering under a tree, not trusting the Ukrainian woman at first.

But the cold is obviously getting to her. As the animal rights activist approaches her further, all of a sudden everything breaks. Lyly, as Olena simply calls her, welcomes her with a touching gesture.

The dog turns onto her back so that Olena can stroke her belly. The animal rights activist's heart melts immediately. She smiles lovingly at Lyly as she strokes her belly.

But of course this is just the beginning. The lonely four-legged friend needs help and has to be examined by a vet.

The woman who called the Love Furry Friends says a tearful goodbye as Lyly sits in Olena's car. Then it's straight on to the vet for the dog.

It quickly becomes clear that she is doing well, given the circumstances. Lyly gets her vaccinations, is wormed and spayed.

This is also desperately needed, as the one-year-old animal is currently in heat. The Ukrainians really can't do with any more stray puppies at the moment.

In any case, Lyly can come with the Love Furry Friend straight after the vet visit. At the shelter, she proves to be shy at first, but after a while she can thaw out and play with the other dogs.

The future of the furry friend is currently uncertain. The Love Furry Friends hope to be able to find Lyly a new home soon.
