Woman thinks she's petting a dog: shortly afterwards, she's not the only one who feels ashamed

New York City - She only calls herself Hickey on TikTok and explains in her profile that she is one of three drunk girls. However, she is the one in charge. What doesn't exactly sound like a clever trio turns out to be just as crazy as expected on TikTok.

In the clip, which has been going viral since January 6, Hickey can be seen in a bar in New York City.

Apparently, petting another guest's dog is a kind of test of courage for her - at least she is filmed doing so by one of her "drunk" friends.

The young lady carefully stalks the ball of fur, stroking it lovingly. Then she pats the supposed "head" before quickly running back to her friends.

A man in the background seems to be uncomfortable with the action right from the start. He quickly puts his hand over his face, obviously not wanting to be seen on the video.

Hickey reveals exactly what the problem is in the subtitle of the curious clip. In retrospect, however, it's not just her who is embarrassed.

"Me, petting a dog in the bar. (It wasn't a dog at all. It was someone's coat)," is the US-American's hilarious explanation.

In her comment next to the viral hit, the TikToker lets it be known that she is not proud of her faux pas: "I want to apologize to these people. I'm sorry for irritating them."

However, it's not just Hickey who is embarrassed by the hilarious situation, but also several TikTok users who admit in the comment column that they are ashamed of themselves.

Despite everything, the video now has a good three million clicks and almost 350,000 likes, as well as hundreds of comments.

So, at least indirectly, it was worth it for the New Yorker to be so silly.
