Woman freezes when she suddenly hears a strange voice from the baby's room
Reddit - Baby monitors are actually there to make everyday life easier for parents and to give them a certain amount of security after they have put their children to bed. However, what the mother in the following story had to experience with the surveillance camera in her child's room gave her goosebumps.

On Reddit, user "Limited_two" reported that they had recently received a baby monitor as a gift from a relative, the features of which initially sounded pretty practical.
The device could not only recognize movements and time-stamp videos, but also allow parents to talk to their offspring through the camera.
After the Reddit user installed the baby monitor above her baby 's bed, four days passed before the mother had to experience a terrifying situation. "The day before yesterday, I put him in his crib while I went to the bathroom," she wrote in her post.
Her son then cried a little, which is why she opened the Babycam app and switched on the sound so that she could keep an eye on him while she was in the bathroom.
Suddenly, however, the mother heard a woman's voice through the device saying "Hello?".
Stranger talks to child for days through baby monitor

The woman immediately rushed to her husband and asked if there was anything in the child's room that could make a noise or if the camera itself was making a sound.
"He said no. So I went back upstairs and when I opened the door to my son's room, I heard the same woman talking to my son through the camera." The stranger spoke directly to the boy and explained that everything was "okay".
The child's mother then didn't hesitate for a second and ripped the baby monitor off the wall. The family had not used the device since.
But the creepy story goes even further. User "Limited_two" suspects that the woman spoke to her child through the camera for at least four days. The mother's sister had previously heard a voice from the child's room, but thought that it was just a TV that the parents had set up in the room. "But we didn't", the resident continues.
In her post, she warns other parents against using baby monitors that are connected to Wi-Fi. It would be better to get a Bluetooth camera that not everyone can access so easily.
Incidentally, the device in question was a cheap baby monitor from Amazon. "The woman most likely gained access via the app that you have to use with the camera," concludes the stunned mother.
