Woman finally sees Golden Retriever again after a month: shortly afterwards she is served
Idaho (USA) - What could be better than being able to embrace a beloved dog again after a month? That's exactly what happened to Madelyn Pearman (34) a few days ago when she finally met her golden retriever Benelli again. But she never saw what happened next coming.
The US-American visited Benelli's master, a good friend in Idaho, last week. The dog, who Pearman used to see every day, behaved exactly as she had expected: happily and with a wagging tail.
But when the 34-year-old sat in the back seat of the car with the golden retriever, he showed his "true colors". Quite distressed, Pearman made a video showing the misery. Last week, she uploaded the clip to TikTok.
In it, Pearman looks into the camera in frustration, then pans over to Benelli, who is sitting next to her. She calls the four-legged friend by name several times, but he doesn't give his old friend a second glance.
After all, while Pearman didn't think the situation was that great, she was able to win over the TikTok audience with the curious video across the board: 5.7 million clicks and 1.2 million likes within the first five days.
But why was Benelli suddenly like a different person?

"After the initial excitement wore off, he had no problem expressing how displeased he was with my absence," the young woman explained in an interview with Newsweek this week.
"It's not uncommon for Benelli to exhibit certain behavior when he's unhappy or not getting his way," she added to the US magazine.
But is it even possible for dogs to be resentful?
Current science says no. Dogs are far too instinctive and incapable of forging anything like revenge.
However, some dog owners might see it differently ...
