Unbeatable audacity - housekeeper steals from and injures 83-year-old woman
Florida (United States) - A young housekeeper injured and robbed a senior citizen because she was not paid her Christmas bonus.
Heather Nelson was actually considered a reliable housekeeper for an 83-year-old lady from Florida, but when she didn't get her bonus on Christmas Eve, she simply became insolent.
As the Brevard County Sheriff's Office announced in a press release, the senior citizen told her employee that she could not afford to pay her Christmas bonus this year. A fact that Nelson apparently could not accept.
She nevertheless demanded a sum of 500 dollars (the equivalent of around 487 euros) and became violent with her after the elderly lady refused.
Nelson decided to write the check herself and used force to steal the senior citizen's checkbook. She almost broke the lady's wrist in the process.
In an effort to presumably ruin other people's Christmas, the 27-year-old also stole Christmas cards that contained some money that should have been mailed, Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.
Housekeeper also steals credit cards
But the brazenness didn't end there. With the stolen checkbook, she wrote herself a sum of 1400 dollars (the equivalent of around 1365 euros) and used her employer's credit cards to pay her rent and other personal expenses.
Sheriff Ivey was also visibly shocked by the young woman's behavior in his message and wrote: "What's next ... Kicking her dog?"
Just a few days ago, the brazen thief was caught when the check was cashed and the credit card transactions were posted.
Sheriff Ivey couldn't resist one last biting comment: "Since you were so worried about your bonus, we had a few extra gifts for you, like a souvenir photo, a slightly used pair of shower slippers and unlimited access to our world-famous one-star restaurant where you can enjoy absolutely nothing you eat."
