Tourist gets 1-euro shave on the street, but one detail is worrying
Delhi (India) - Creator "Hugh Abroad" has been traveling the world for some time now, getting involved in things that normal tourists would rather avoid out of caution. Whether it's crazy street food, massages on the street corner or an ear cleaning in public while sitting in a plant pot - the Scotsman seems to want to try everything. However, one of his latest experiences has his viewers very worried.

Hugh is currently in India and has already tested all kinds of food that is cooked and offered on the street there.
A few days ago, however, the native Scot didn't publish a video about typical Indian dishes, but rather how he treated himself to a shave. Of course, he didn't go to a barbershop, but instead looked for a cheap offer on the street.
In the viral clip , he can be seen sitting on a wobbly chair while the street barber begins to trim his beard with a pair of scissors before applying hair gel to the tourist. Not only did some of the product end up in Hugh's mouth, but also a foreign human hair - yikes!
After the Indian had smeared shaving foam on Hugh's face - and amusedly judged that he had "bad" hair - he set about trimming his beard with a razor. Finally, he cleaned Hugh's face with a towel and dusted the skin with a lime powder.

Spectators fear health consequences

The procedure cost Hugh a total of 100 Indian rupees - the equivalent of around 1 euro. However, he tipped the hairdresser well and ended up spending 600 Indian rupees (6.30 euros). Far too much, according to his viewers.
Many are of the opinion that Hugh was ripped off by the street barber and that the shave was not even worth 60 Indian rupees (about 60 cents). "You've been robbed," says one amused user.
Other viewers are mainly concerned about the hygiene conditions, which were hardly given during the "beauty treatment".
Starting with the scissors, which were obviously neither cleaned nor replaced between customers, or the lime powder stone, which was also used on every customer without any disinfection. But it was the towel that the Indian man used to wipe Hugh's face that made most users go crazy.
"I bet that towel hasn't been washed since the Second World War," speculates one user. Another writes: "Looks like a good way to catch a strange disease. 🤮."
Whether the users' concerns are justified remains unanswered. Hugh did not comment on any negative consequences and published further videos after the shave, in which he at least appears healthy and alert.
