Talking to Elon Musk: Alice Weidel lashes out at former Chancellor Angela Merkel
Berlin/USA - Multi-billionaire Elon Musk (53) and Alice Weidel (45) met today, Thursday, to talk about Germany. The AfD leader lashed out at former Chancellor Angela Merkel (70).
The conversation between Weidel and Musk on the social media platform X started at 7.02 pm and went straight into the topic.
After briefly mentioning the (recent) history of the AfD, Weidel referred to the poor state of the Federal Republic of Germany due to the government policies of the past 20-25 years.
Angela Merkel and not least the traffic light coalition, which Weidel described as "ridiculous", had "ruined" Germany.
Merkel in particular got her comeuppance for this. Weidel cited the opening of the border as an example and harshly criticized the energy policy, especially the shutdown of nuclear power plants, but received Musk's approval, who said that you cannot lead an industrial nation with "wind and energy" alone.

Another point where the AfD politician sees a clear failure of the state is the education system.
Our young people learn too little," said the 45-year-old, referring to both schools and universities.
Instead, they pursue "gender studies", Weidel said critically, but had to laugh about it, whereupon the Tesla entrepreneur joined in her laughter.
In his conversation with Musk, the 53-year-old repeatedly referred to how certain issues are handled in the USA.
