Shock! Soccer star in hospital due to heart problems
Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) - Scary moment for Serbia's soccer star Aleksandar Mitrovic (30): The former Premiere League professional has been taken to hospital due to health problems. This was announced by his club, the Saudi Arabian first division team Al-Hilal, on Monday night (local time).

According to a statement published on the social media platform X, the medical staff had decided to "exclude him from Sunday training due to fatigue and cardiac arrhythmia".
The 30-year-old attacker will be examined by specialists at a clinic and his cardiac performance will be closely monitored, the statement added.
According to reports, the hospitalization was probably just a precautionary measure and the 93-time international has since been discharged from hospital, according to several media outlets.
Fortunately, the suspected arrhythmia, i.e. irregular heartbeat, has not been confirmed. The examinations carried out did not reveal any changes to the normal heart rhythm. There has been no official confirmation from the club as yet.
Mitrovic makes comeback after months of injury

Mitrovic has been under contract with Al-Hilal since August 2023 and has scored 38 times in 34 competitive matches.
52.6 million euros had been paid into the account of English first division club FC Fulham, for whom the 1.89-metre striker had played 190 games and scored 109 goals.
Most recently, Mitrovic was slowed down by a thigh injury, forcing the former team-mate of Brazil's soccer superstar Neymar to take a month-long break.
Last Friday, however, he made his comeback in the league clash at Al Feiha - and scored in the 89th minute to make the final score 2:0. "It was a tough two and a half months for me, I had problems with my thigh, one injury after another," he said after the final whistle.
