Perished in flaming hell: Jennifer Garner mourns death of close friend
Los Angeles - The wildfires in the US state of California have already claimed numerous victims , and now actress Jennifer Garner (52) has also had to cope with a heavy loss.
Last Friday, the "30 Overnight" actress volunteered to provide a hot meal to numerous firefighters battling the devastating fires.
Garner also came into contact with evacuees who had lost their homes and tried to be a support to them.
But a short time later, the 52-year-old also struck an emotional chord in an interview with an American news channel.
In the interview, she revealed that she had tragically lost a good friend in the fires, a friend she had met through the church. "I lost a friend. She didn't get out in time."
But as it was still too recent, she didn't want to talk about it any further. She went on to explain that she also knowshundreds of families who have lost their homes and therefore feels "almost guilty" when she walks through her intact house.
Jennifer Garner urgently wants to support those affected
Garner kept asking herself how she could help those affected. What she could offer them and how she could help others.
It was only natural for her to throw herself into volunteer work and offer the victims of the fires at least a hot meal and a sympathetic ear, especially as she has lived in the region for more than 25 years.
