Washington - He interfered in US politics for months, but that now seems to be coming to an end: Multi-billionaire Elon Musk wants to quit as an advisor to US President Donald Trump .

This was reported on Wednesday by the news portal Politico. Trump has already informed his inner circle of advisors. Musk is to withdraw from his team in the coming weeks.

Allegedly, Trump is still satisfied with Musk's work and influence, but both have jointly decided that it is time to retire.
