Mother's jaw drops when she sees what kind of game her children are playing

Dayton (Ohio) - When she asked her seven-year-old daughter Mia to keep an eye on her three-year-old brother Max, Maggie Stevens had no idea that her jaw would drop a little later. The mother of two from Dayton, Ohio, at least captured her horror on video - so at least TikTok users could have a laugh.

The curious clip (see below) was posted on November 21. In it, Stevens literally opens her mouth wide when she sees what her little ones are playing: Son Max is duct-taped to a high chair!

"I asked her if she could play a game or do something else with Max while I made dinner to keep him out of the kitchen, and she happily agreed," the American explained to Newsweek this week.

Basically, Mia had just taken her mother's idea literally. To keep her little brother out of the kitchen, she simply fixed him to the chair.

"I was honestly shocked because she had never done anything like that before," Stevens told the US magazine. Nevertheless, she also had some good news to report.

"They were both smiling and giggling, so I was relieved," the TikTok user explained.

"She said Max had been 'annoying' and had tried to go into the kitchen. So she tied him up! Luckily he thought it was a game and she technically did what I wanted," Stevens concluded to News magazine.

As it turned out later, little Max had actually "loved" the game. Accordingly, he wanted to play it again. "He's a wild guy and thought it was hilarious," said his mother.

Quite a few users also found the clip funny. After all, it has received around 100,000 clicks since it was published.
