Mother calls Santa Claus to teach daughter a lesson: Shortly afterwards, tears of laughter flow
Indianapolis (USA) - As soon as the Advent season arrives, parents are given another secret weapon to keep their kids in line: Santa Claus. After all, what child wants to fall out of Santa's favor - after all, important presents are on the line. Kaylee Ellis (34) from Indianapolis recently pulled out her cell phone to get Santa's help. The reason: her daughter Lydia (3) had been a little rough with her.
The now viral TikTok video shows the curious moment. Ellis and her daughter are in the kitchen after a "scandal". The 34-year-old pulls out her cell phone to tell Santa.
While she tells him what happened: "She hit me", Ellis turns to the side. Suddenly she sees that her husband Zach (36) is filming her. Apparently she realizes at this moment what an absurd act she is putting on - at any rate, she has a fit of laughter so violent that she can barely stand on her feet.
While the three-year-old looks at her mother in complete bewilderment, she tries to gather herself without success. Eventually she hides behind the fridge.
But how did it even get this far? Newsweek asked the TikToker this week.
Funny TikTok video becomes a viral hit
After it didn't work out with the man with the big beard, the mother simply squealed to the US magazine: "I was just about to do her hair for daycare when she tried to knock the hairbrush out of my hand. Not knowing what to do, I decided to call in reinforcements - Santa Claus."
While she and her husband are advocates of gentle parenting, her daughter has decided "not to be so gentle", the US American told the news site.
Apparently, the little girl is faring better with her strategy than her parents. Because they haven't called Santa since. "I think the Santa strategy should be left to the professionals, which apparently my husband and I are not," Ellis said self-critically.
After all, her video is impressive on TikTok: 1.1 million clicks and more than 130,000 likes speak for themselves.
Nevertheless, Ellis is not entirely comfortable with the success: "I had no idea that so many people would see me laughing until I almost wet my pants!"
