Mother asks daughter to tidy up: when she looks, she is speechless
Toronto (Canada) - She is only three years old. But that doesn't stop Ivy from really upsetting her mother Amber Henry (29). Last month, the single mom from Toronto, Canada, came forward with a TikTok video in which she struggles to keep her composure. "I'm honestly on the verge of tears," Amber admits in the clip.
Her mother had previously asked Ivy to tidy up her toys. When she took a look, she was speechless. Because the three-year-old had done everything almost perfectly.
"I was shocked," Amber said in an interview with Newsweek this week. "I was so impressed by the attention to detail and she was so attentive to how she tidied everything up," she added.
Her mother didn't actually expect anything from the little girl - because of her young age.
"My heart hurts so much, because how could I have created the sweetest child in the world?" the Canadian asks emotionally in her video.
But none of this was entirely by chance.
Video of the story becomes a viral hit on TikTok
The 29-year-old admitted to the US magazine that she had already introduced a tidy-up time six months ago: "I didn't teach her in such detail (...) I think she probably watched me clean and did the same."
This also goes down very well with the audience on TikTok. The video now has 1.6 million clicks and more than 280,000 likes.
But Amber has now gone one step further: "Since then, I've introduced a pocket money system to give her more responsibility, for example for tidying the bed and toys in the evening or brushing her teeth. Children can do so much!"
However, the young mother shouldn't expect any more from her little one. At the age of just three, too much personal responsibility can quickly turn into the opposite: excessive demands.
