"Mom, save me!": Girl falls from 25th floor and survives

Tangshan (China) - It was nothing short of a miracle: a nine-year-old girl fell from the 25th floor of a high-rise building in China and survived. Although the little girl suffered broken bones, she was still responsive.

This is what happened at the end of March in the Chinese city of Tangshan, reports the South China Morning Post.

The nine-year-old was busy doing her homework in her bedroom, her mother was still at work and her father was preparing dinner in the kitchen. But because the little girl was so hot, she decided to open the window. But the window frame was loose, the girl lost her balance and fell from the 25th floor onto a balcony on the seventh floor.

"My daughter was supposed to be doing homework in her room. But when her father tried to call her for dinner, he couldn't find her," the mother told Chinese media. Her husband looked out of the window three times and ran into the street.

But there were only the little slippers. There was no trace of the daughter.

"It really is a miracle!" says the mother

Then salvation: neighbors discovered the wailing child on their seventh-floor balcony.

"When we found her, she was wearing her school uniform and had a lot of blood around her mouth and ears. Her eyes were swollen with blood clots, but she was conscious," reported a neighbor.

"We were terrified. I was devastated. The first thing my daughter said when she saw me was: 'Mom, save me'," said the worried mother.

The child was taken to a hospital 200 kilometers away in Beijing. A guardian angel was watching over her that day. She had a broken arm, lacerations to the head and a bruised vertebra. The mother reported that there is no fear of permanent damage. She knows: "It really is a miracle!"

The little girl has since been discharged from hospital.
