Millions can't believe their eyes: what is that cat doing?

New Zealand - It' s a truism that cats have nine lives. But the fact that they can fly and climb up walls is probably news to most people. This is why there is so much interest in Archie the cat on TikTok. In a daring clip, the cat from New Zealand appears to defy the laws of gravity several times over.

Please! In the clip, Archie climbs up the wall and jumps so high that he looks like a bird.

The curious video begins with Archie's owner's feet giving an insect, a so-called cicada, a nudge. The insect then takes off, whizzing through the air.

The cat is (almost) in no way inferior. As if stung by a tarantula, he rushes through the hallway to catch the flyer. To do so, he performs several jumps and stunts that many a circus performer can only dream of.

Archie already jumps very high under his own steam, but he can do even more with a simple trick.

By jumping onto the wall to push himself off, he reaches impressive heights - but the cicada successfully buzzes away from him.

The cat then performs an interlude that explains why the viral hit has already racked up eight million clicks in just one day.

Viral video shows curious cat artistry

Archie runs up the smooth wall as naturally as if he were Spider-Cat. But eventually gravity brings him back down to earth.

And so even the furry friend has to realize that, despite his impressive flying skills, he has a poor chance against a real flyer.

However, Archie is not discouraged. Quite the opposite: he simply changes his tactics. Instead of continuing to chase after the cicada, the velvet paw takes a break and calmly observes the insect's flight path until it becomes weaker.

As soon as the cicada touches down on the floor, Archie strikes. The clip ends as abruptly as the little flyer's life presumably did.

But the enthusiastic audience leaves 1.6 million likes by Friday evening. But this could be just the beginning. Because Archie the cat is likely to fly even higher with this viral hit.
