Mass panic at Christmas party: children among the victims

Ibadan (Nigeria) - Shocking images are currently circulating on the social media platform X. They show a mass panic in Nigeria that cost the lives of several people.

According to an article in BILD, the tragedy is said to have occurred yesterday morning (Wednesday).

It is assumed that the stampede broke out because the organizers of the festival wanted to distribute presents to those present.

However, the rush for these presents was so great that several people were buried under the masses and trampled to death.

Meanwhile, the University Hospital of Ibadan has confirmed the death of a total of five children.

The aim was to distribute gifts to children

The Christmas festival was organized by former Queen Naomi Silekunola in collaboration with local radio station "Agidigbo FM" to distribute gifts to the children of the metropolis of millions.

According to a report by Punch, Silekunola was married to the then monarch of the Yoruba, a people in the southwest of the country, until 2021.
