Liam (1) wears glasses for the first time: His reaction melts hearts

New York - A little boy can hardly believe his luck when he is fitted with glasses for the first time and can finally see the world in full focus. A video of the unique experience melts hearts.

Little Liam (1) was born with an eye impairment. The toddler is very farsighted and can only see everything blurred.

So it came as no surprise that the toddler, who lives with his parents in New York, recently visited an optician. Liam's mother, Stephanie Mazzone-Meyer, was of course there filming.

What happened next leaves no one cold. The optician carefully puts the toddler's new blue glasses on. At first, Liam is probably still a little confused by the wealth of new sensory impressions.

But this soon subsides. When the boy sees his parents' faces in sharp focus for the first time, Liam starts to beam. It is a heart-warming moment.

The sugar-sweet video has already been viewed by more than 100 million people on TikTok and has received countless likes. "This is the best video I've ever seen," said more than a few.

The little boy is now a star on TikTok.

Since her son has been wearing glasses, he smiles even more, Liam's mother tells Foxnews. "He's a completely different baby with his new glasses."

But the little boy had a difficult start in life, reveals mom Stephanie. There had already been problems in the womb, with conspicuous scans at the time suggesting the worst.

Liam had to spend the first three weeks of his life in intensive care. But today all that is forgotten. Apart from his farsightedness, the little boy is perfectly healthy.

Stephanie hopes that Liam's story can give others a little bit of hope. She is convinced: "Just watching his video can melt the coldest of hearts."
