According to sources, Meghan's team had spoken to an unnamed publisher to gauge interest in the book - although the former royals are not separated!

As Page Six reported, the recently released information did not reveal when exactly this meeting took place.

A source also emphasized that the book was supposed to be about the fallout of a potential split from Harry, not the divorce from her first husband.

The insider also explained that the meeting did not indicate that Harry and Meghan would actually separate. Rather, it was to see if the publisher would be "theoretically interested" if a divorce ever happened.

It was previously reported that the 43-year-old had signed a contract with Penguin Random House, which guaranteed her four book publications - but so far only one children's book has been published.
