Golden retriever meets puppy: His reaction is sweet as sugar, but onlookers criticize him

Greenville (South Carolina/USA) - A few days ago, Golden Retriever Teddy became a big brother - when his owner Jonathan presented him with the latest addition to the family: little Ruby .

In a video that has since been shared on TikTok , the young man can be seen holding the little golden retriever puppy under his beloved four-legged friend's nose.

And the adult male dog reacts enthusiastically. As soon as he has taken the ball of fur in his stride, he drops his toy to jump up on her.

He then sniffs her affectionately, gives her a few first kisses and then even hands her his favorite cuddly toy: a small sheep. His tail wags with joy the whole time.

And little Ruby can't contain her enthusiasm either. Again and again she jumps up enthusiastically, hops around her big brother and snuggles into his soft fur.

"Instant best friends," Jonathan enthuses as he watches the two of them. Afterwards, Teddy and the little fur nose make themselves comfortable on the family's couch and close their eyes to recover from all the excitement.

Most viewers reacted enthusiastically to the cute clip. However, many also noticed with disappointment that a family member was missing from the video.

They soon flooded the comments section with the question "Where's Archie?", alluding to the family's third dog - a small mongrel.

"Did you just forget about him?" said another angry fan.

However, Jonathan was quick to reassure his followers: "Archie really likes [Ruby] too, but he's still a bit awkward with dogs, so we're taking it slow with the two of them," he replied with a terse message.
