Drunk teenager wipes out his own family!

Belen - Over the weekend, police in the US state of New Mexico received a harrowing call from a drunk teenager.

16-year-old Diego L. from the small town of Belen called 911 early Saturday morning and claimed to have killed his family, the New Mexico State Police announced on Facebook.

When the emergency services arrived, the teenager was already stumbling towards them, heavily intoxicated and with his hands up. Shortly afterwards, the officers realized that the boy had not lied on the phone.

Inside the house lay the bodies of four people. On Sunday, the police announced that they were Diego's mother (35), father (42), brother (16) and little sister (14).

They were all shot in cold blood. The police found the murder weapon lying on the kitchen table.

The 16-year-old murderer was first taken to hospital, where he was told to sober up. He was then sent to a juvenile detention center and is awaiting sentencing. The investigation into the background to the tragedy is still ongoing.
