Does this cap reveal Donald Trump's unconstitutional plan?
Washington - By law, his second term in office would also be his last for US President Donald Trump (78). Or not?

"No person shall be elected to the office of President more than twice", states the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution. However, around three months into his second term of office, Trump is already toying with the idea of flouting this rule.
In doing so, Trump is blatantly flaunting his intention to break the constitution: In his own online store - the"Trump Store" - caps and T-shirts with the inscription "Trump 2028" have recently become available to buy. The next US election will take place in 2028.
A print on one of the shirts shows what the 78-year-old plans to do between now and then. It reads: "Rewrite the Rules".
Aside from stylish clothing, the Republican has already publicly hinted on several occasions that he is considering a third term in office. "They say there's a possibility," was one of his bland statements at the end of March. Trump did not forget to emphasize that US voters would ultimately like him to run for election again.
In order to actually scam a third term in office, the US constitution would have to be amended. This would require a two-thirds majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

However, the Republicans currently only have a narrow lead in the Senate with 53 seats over the Democrats (47 seats). In the House of Representatives, Trump's party allies have 220 of the 435 seats. For this reason, Trump probably has no choice but to look for a loophole in the constitution.
